Thank you for your interest in supporting Make Music Day Salem! Make Music Day is a free, one-day event featuring live music performances, opportunities to make music, and other musical activities that take place around the world on June 21, the longest day of the year. Musical festivities in Salem are part of the global celebration of music-making in over 1000 cities inspired by France’s Fête de la Musique.

Make Music Day Salem is a volunteer-based, community nonprofit project started in February 2016 by a handful of volunteers and sponsoring organizations. Since this time, we have had over 700 bands and artists play at over 100 different host venues for more than 3000 performances with an estimated audience of over 25,000 attendees during the day into evening celebration. The energy and financial support of the business community, coupled with the talents and interest of the vibrant music and arts community, made Make Music Day Salem a success on many levels. At Make Music Salem, everyone is a star, and our community shines brightly as Make Music Salem has been recognized as one of the best medium-size cities in hosting this event by the Make Music Alliance

We want to make this year’s event better and bigger. To help offset some of the necessary costs, such as city permits, licenses, insurance, software, professional sound experts, event-related rentals, power generators, staging, performance equipment, promotional materials, and outreach activities that come with putting on an event throughout the city such as this, we need your support.

  • Rhythm ($2,500)

    Our premiere sponsors will receive recognition on all materials, banner signage, logos on posters, social media shout outs, and thank you throughout the day at stages throughout town on Make Music Day.

  • Melody ($1,000)

    Melody sponsors will have their logo on posters, venue banners, social media shoutouts, and thank you from large stage hosts and receive recognition before, during, and after the event.

  • Harmony ($500)

    Logo on official poster, social media shoutouts, and thanks yous by stage hosts during the event.

  • Tempo ($250)

    Social media shoutouts, thank you by stage hosts, and recognition on the website.

Corporate sponsorship not quite the right fit? Show your support as a Friend of Make Music Day Salem for $100. Friends of MMDS get a shoutout on our various social media platforms and listed as a friend on our website.

Make Music Salem is free and open to the public and your contributions make it all possible. Make Music Salem is a community-based fiscally sponsored non-profit through the Salem Foundation. Donations to Make Music Salem are tax deductible.
